These settings apply to X-Shops clients only.
You can have multpiple users for your domains. These can be any combination of the following:
Standard Mail Account
A standard POP3 or IMAP mail account. you can have anyname@yourdomain.com (almost). Each mailbox account has a 2GB mail capacity and can be accessed by POP3 and IMAP. Note that your mail is hosted directly by 1&1, and unrelated to the server hosting your shopping site. In this way we ensure that the dedicated servers run at optimum speed unaffected by large quantities of email. This means that you incur a few restrictions dictated by 1&1, these are fairly standard and should not cause in problems in normal use.
Mailbox Alias
This type of account is simply forwarded onto another existing email account. The foerwarding account can be on any domain, so for example you could have widgets@mydomain.com going to your myname@yahoo.com account.
Catch All
This account is used where mail comes in and does not match any other other user. Typically mail here consists of a mixture of incoming spam mail and incorrectly addressed mail. We will have already nominated an email account for your domain to receive "catch all" mail.
