Adding a new store
Adding a new x-cart store - the config screen

Before you start make sure you know the details to access your store data. You will need your database server address, username and password. In addition your xcart database must be accessible via a remote MySql connection.

Once you have the details available then use the sidebar and go to Settings / Add Store You will be presented with a screen similar to the above. Use the following information to complete all fields:

#01Shop Name
Whatever you wish to call your shop. This name is used for automated emails and invoices etc.
#02Shop Code
A unique three letter code to identify your new store. This code is used to identify mail templates, invoice logos and is used to prefix sales so that a shop with a code of ABC would have orders listed as ABC01001 for example.
#03Site URL
The web link (http://yourdomain.com) used to access your domain. The ellipsis ("...") button can be used to ensure you have entered the correct address.
#04Shop URL
The full web link (http://yourdomain.com/shop-directory) used to access your store including the store directory. The ellipsis ("...") button can be used to ensure you have entered the correct address.
#05Admin URL
The full web link (http://yourdomain.com/shop-directory/admin-path) used to access your stores backend. Typically this would be the shops "admin" directory, however x-shops customers can link directly to the "admin/autologin" directory for quick access to the backend. The ellipsis ("...") button can be used to ensure you have entered the correct address.
#06DB Server
The address of the server hosting the x-cart database. You can enter this as standard IP address (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) or simply use a domain address (yourdomain.com). Note that a domain address should not be prefixed by http or https. Both MySql and your Firewall must be securely configured for remote database connections on port 3306 for Shopfront to function. X-Shop customers have this facility as standard.
#07Database
The MySQL Database containing your x-cart data as entered in x-cart's config.php file. This entry is normally case sensitive.
